Dr. Chan Ho Choi Dr. Chan Ho Choi joined the ICA as its Regional Director for Asia-Pacific in January, 2010.
Dr. Choi carries with him an experience of more than 31 years of working with NACF Korea, one of the biggest cooperatives from the region. Dr. Choi in his former capacity used to receive more than 600 co-operators every year from various parts of the world. In 1988 he got Ph.D in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines. He was seconded to the Food and Fertiliser Technology Centre in Taiwan for 3 years (1992 to 1995) where he worked as an Agricultural Economist and then to ICA Geneva as an Agricultural Cooperative Advisor (2002-2005). Upon his return to NACF, Dr. Choi worked with Agricultural Cooperative College as Professor from 2005 to 2007. He has also been the Secretary General of International Cooperative Agricultural Organisation (ICAO) for the past few years and has led seminars on Agricultural Cooperatives, WTO related Issues and Climate Change.

Mr. K. Sethumadhavan Mr. K. Sethumadhavan is a graduate from the Punjab University. He joined the ICA Regional Office in 1975. Currently he is working as Planning Officer/Assistant to Regional Director. He is also responsible for various other project activities of the Regional Office. He acts as the Secretary to the ICA Committees on Human Resource Development and Research.

Mr. Kulbhushan Kukreja Mr. K. Kukreja works as the Finance Officer for the ICA Regional Office since 1987. He holds a Post Graduate/Masters Degree in Commerce with specilization in Accounting and Business Statistics. He also holds a post-graduate Diploma from a renowned Government Institute for Corporate Law and Management with specialization in Contract Act and Corporate Negotiaons. Mr. Kukreja is also responsible for the accounts and taxation matters of ICA - Asia & Pacific and its staff. He also handles the financial/accounting matters of the ICA Singapore Business office.

Mr. A.K. Taneja Mr. Ashok Kumar Taneja joined the ICA as a Programme Officer in 1990. He is a graduate with a Post-graduate Diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management. Prior to joining the ICA Regional Office, Mr. Taneja worked with the Delhi College of Engineering, the National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation (NAFED) in various capacities.

Mrs. Savitri Singh Mrs. Savitri Singh has a Masters Degree in Political Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations. Since March 2002, she is working with ICA - Asia & Pacific as Advisor, Gender Programme. She is also responsible for HIV/AIDS Programme of ICA - Asia & Pacific. Prior to joining ICA Regional Office, she worked for eight years as deputy Manager HRD, in Tribal Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED) and for four years as Deputy Director in-charge of International division and Women Co-operative division of the National Co-operative Union of India.

Ms. Neela Sharma Mrs Neela Sharma is a graduate from Delhi University. She has also followed post graduate Diploma in Journalism and Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management. She Works as Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. She joined the ICA in 1989.

Mr. Sanjay Gupta Mr. Sanjay Kumar Gupta joined the ICA Domus Trust as a Accounts Assistant in 2003. He is a graduate in commerce from Delhi University & Post-graduate from H.P. University.

Ms. PayalMs. Payal joined ICA-AP on 1st Mar 2010 as Programme-cum-Communication Officer.

She graduated from Delhi University and has a Masters Diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, Delhi. She has also undergone training on information technology conducted by International Training Center of ILO in Turin, Italy. She brings with her a vast and varied work experience with her earlier service with “Hind Mazdoor Sabha”, a national level trade union organization in India. There she held the position of Program Officer, Secretary All India Women’s Committee and Assistant Editor of HMS Bulletin. She has represented HMS at various national and international conferences and seminars in the field of HIV-AIDS, Gender & Equality issues, Child Labour and Environment. She has been instrumental in designing & implementing projects for workers education and training in informal sectors. She has also conducted training workshops on Child Labour and women activists, to enhance their awareness in the Unorganized sector.

Mr. Santosh P. Kumar Santosh joined the ICA-AP regional offices in May, 2010 as a Program officer. He undertakes activities of the Youth Cooperative Committees in the region and has the task of generating and spreading awareness about youth’s involvement and participation in the cooperative difference.He Graduated in Law (Indraprastha University) with a Diploma in Cyber Law and currently pursuing P.G. Diploma in International Law and diplomacy. He has previously worked on WHO and UNDP projects and was an active member of The Youth Parliament Foundation, New Delhi. He was also elected National President for the Students for the promotion of International Law (SPIL), chapter member of ILSA during 2007 - 2008.

Mr Sanjay Kumar Verma Sanjay Kumar Verma joined ICA Regional Office as Research Officer in March, 2011. Seconded from National Cooperative Union of India, he is having Post-Graduate Degree in both Economics and History. He has also a MPhil Degree in International Relations from JNU[Delhi] and a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism. Being a regular presenter, he has presented papers on cooperative communications, tourism, etc in ICA- AP research conferences as well as other international conferences.

 

 

Ms. Kanako Miyazawa Ms. Kanako Miyazawa has been seconded from the Japanese Consumers’ Co-operative Union (JCCU) to succeed Mr. Yoshimitsu Nakamura since January 21, 2011.  She took office as the new special advisor to the ICA-AP Singapore Business Office.  The Singapore Business Office was established to promote business cooperation between cooperatives in the Asia Pacific region. Her duty in this office is to serve as a special advisor in supporting the activities of consumer cooperatives as well as the health and medical cooperatives. She will also act as a secretariat to the ICA Committee on Consumer Cooperation for Asia and the Pacific, and the Asia Pacific Health Co-operative Organization(APHCO) .Her previous working experience with JCCU include, working as a merchandiser at the Co-op Product Development Department for eight years. Between1990-1995, she also worked as a staff of the International Department. She had the privilege to work as a secretariat to holding the ICA Tokyo Congress in 1992 and also participated in the ICA Manchester Congress in 1995.
