The ICA Asia-Pacific Office was established in the region in 1960. The regional Office was formally inaugurated on 14 November, 1960 in New Delhi, India by Pt. The 3rd Business Seminar for Cooperative Leaders on "Innovating Cooperative Business with Internet Technology"
The 3rd Business Seminar for Cooperative Leaders on "Innovating Cooperative Business with Internet Technology" was held in Singapore from 5th to 7th October, 2011 in collaboration with the Singapore National Cooperative Federation (SNCF). Around 20 particiants from Philippines, malaysia, India & Singapore attended the seminar. The ICA-AP Regional Director and CEO of SNCF attended the opening ceremony of the seminar. The main objectives of the seminar were (i) to offer cooperative leaders and chief executive officers an ample opportunity to learn about new area of e-commerce for cooperative business; (ii) to share about various models of e-commerce among chief executive officers; and (iii) to share the best applications in the use of 'social media' for branding cooperative and service products.
